A group from the Career Center faculty and staff were part of the lunch crew for the professional development day on Monday February 19. This group assisted Chef Hawkes and his students with preparing the food, beverages, plates, and all logistics of feeding over 700 teachers across the district! It was a busy day!

From design to finished product....Family and Consumer Science (FACS) 1 students have been learning about basic sewing construction skills. They designed their own projects and sewed a "pillow" using basic stitches like backstitch, running stitch, ladder stitch, blanket stitch, and whip stitch. They loved seeing their designs come to life! Look at those proud faces!

Quick grill update! Welding students have been steadily working on this custom grill. They have finished up most of the fab work on it. Next up is paint! 57 Cadillac Update Students have been repairing the body damages to the rear of the Cadillac. The rear half has been primed with urethane high build primer. In addition students have learned how to correct old body repairs with MIG welding. This is important to know as those types of repairs are not used in the industry anymore.
