Today, Tuesday, January 21, 2025, ALL Lancaster County School District activities will end at 6:00 p.m.
The Lancaster County School District Board of Trustees Regular Meeting will still be at 7:00 pm tonight, Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at the LCSD District Office located at 300 S. Catawba Street, Lancaster.
Wednesday, January 22, 2025, ALL LCSD schools and offices will be on a two-hour delay. We are continuing to monitor the weather situation and we will provide updated alerts if there are any changes.
Attention Students...Please email MTSS Coordinator Eric Byrd if you have FIRST-semester ATTENDANCE recovery needs. He is hosting special attendance recovery sessions Monday, February 3, through Thursday, February 6 (4pm - 6pm ; LHS Library). ONLY STUDENTS who have corresponded with Eric Byrd may participate in this special attendance recovery event. Please reach out to Eric Byrd ASAP.

Our district's recent ML Family event was a success! According to ML Coordinator Erin Brock, her department is especially grateful to schools who generously donated toys and shared the event information with families. Each student attendee selected a toy and left with a big smile, and his/her parents received information about the many services Brock's department collaborates with, including the following: Hope in Lancaster, Adult Education - ESL Classes, SC Legal Services, First Steps Preschool Registration, and Free Academic Supplies. Mrs. Brock also wants to extend her heartfelt gratitude to the young men and women of the LHS ROTC who, under Sergeant Brown's leadership, were fantastic with both the parents and their children. Finally, she appreciates the North Elementary School staff for graciously hosting the event and supporting the ML team.

eLearning Day-Friday, January 10th - Each teacher will provide assignments in Google Classroom by 8:00 am, Friday, January 10th. Students need to be engaged in instruction (working on assignments, etc.) for a total of 6 hours. Teachers will hold office hours from 9-11 with an open Google Meet link (in each teacher's Google Classroom) for students to get immediate feedback. After that, teachers must be available via email, phone, or other communication platform (talking points, etc.) from 11-3. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Friday, January 10, 2025 will be an eLearning day. ALL Lancaster County schools, buildings, and facilities will be closed. Lancaster County School District has been in contact with Emergency Management. Due to the hazardous conditions from expected snow, freezing rain, and sleet with a possible accumulation over an inch we have determined closure is essential. As a safety precaution, ALL Lancaster County schools, buildings, and facilities will be closed on Friday, January 10, 2025. ALL events and activities are canceled for Friday, January 10, 2025 through Sunday, January 12, 2025.

This will be a time for seniors and parents to complete the FAFSA to qualify for free funding for college. 2025 Rock Hill Bearcat Invitational LHS Lady Bruins finished 7th as a team. Nichya Pemberton took 1st place in 170 weight class. Gabriella Morales took 3rd in the 125 weight class.
